Copyright and License

The Journal of AI & Immersive Marketing (JAIIM) is committed to protecting the rights of authors while promoting the widest possible dissemination and reuse of scholarly research. JAIIM operates under an open-access publishing model in which authors retain copyright to their published works while granting the journal a non-exclusive license to publish, preserve, index, and distribute their articles.

All published articles are immediately available under the Creative Commons Attribution–ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), enabling responsible sharing and reuse while ensuring appropriate attribution to the original authors.

Author Copyright

Authors retain full copyright ownership of their published works.

Submission to JAIIM does not require authors to transfer copyright to the Publisher or the Journal. Following acceptance, authors grant JAIIM a non-exclusive publishing license that enables the journal to:

  • Publish the article in print and electronic formats;
  • Assign a permanent Digital Object Identifier (DOI);
  • Archive and preserve the article;
  • Distribute the article worldwide;
  • Deposit article metadata with indexing services;
  • Include the article in journal issues and archives; and
  • Promote and disseminate the published work.

The publishing license does not transfer copyright ownership from the author(s) to the Publisher.

Creative Commons License (CC BY-SA 4.0)

Unless otherwise stated, all articles published by JAIIM are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution–ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

Under this license, users are free to:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format;
  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use.

The license requires users to:

  • Provide appropriate attribution to the original author(s);
  • Include a link to the Creative Commons license;
  • Indicate whether changes have been made; and
  • Distribute derivative works under the same license.

Reuse of Published Content

Subject to the terms of the CC BY-SA 4.0 license, published material may be reused for purposes including:

  • Academic teaching and learning;
  • Research and scholarly communication;
  • Institutional repositories;
  • Books and book chapters;
  • Conference presentations;
  • Educational materials;
  • Commercial applications;
  • Translation into other languages; and
  • Text and data mining or artificial intelligence research where legally permitted.

Users are responsible for ensuring that all reuse complies with the applicable license and that appropriate attribution is maintained.

Author Self-Archiving

JAIIM encourages authors to maximize the visibility and impact of their research through responsible self-archiving.

Authors may immediately deposit:

  • Submitted manuscripts (preprints);
  • Accepted manuscripts (Author Accepted Manuscripts); and
  • The published Version of Record.

Deposits may be made in institutional repositories, disciplinary repositories, personal websites, academic networking platforms, or other trusted repositories. Authors are encouraged to include the complete bibliographic citation, article DOI, and a link to the official published version whenever available.

Third-Party Materials

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material owned by third parties where such permission is required. Any third-party content included within a published article must be properly acknowledged.

Where third-party material is not covered by the article's Creative Commons license, users must obtain permission directly from the respective copyright holder before reuse.

Copyright Infringement

JAIIM respects intellectual property rights and expects authors, reviewers, editors, and readers to do the same.

Any allegation of copyright infringement, unauthorized reproduction, or misuse of published material will be investigated in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics and Complaints & Appeals policies. Where appropriate, the journal may issue corrections, request removal of infringing material, notify relevant institutions, or take other actions consistent with applicable laws and internationally recognized publication ethics standards.

Disclaimer

While every reasonable effort is made to ensure the accuracy, quality, and ethical integrity of published content, responsibility for the opinions, interpretations, data, and conclusions expressed in individual articles rests solely with the respective authors. Neither the Editors, Editorial Board, nor the Publisher shall be liable for any consequences arising from the use of information contained in published articles.
