Digital Archiving Policy

The Journal of AI & Immersive Marketing (JAIIM) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of its published scholarly content. Digital preservation is an essential component of responsible scholarly publishing and helps ensure that published research remains permanently accessible to researchers, practitioners, and the wider academic community.

JAIIM supports the preservation of the scholarly record through the use of persistent identifiers, standardized metadata, and trusted digital preservation practices. The journal continually evaluates and adopts appropriate preservation services as part of its commitment to sustainable open-access publishing.

Long-Term Preservation

JAIIM is committed to preserving its published content through recognized digital preservation services and archival infrastructure appropriate to the journal's publishing platform.

Where applicable, the journal may utilize one or more long-term preservation services, including:

PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN);
LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe);
CLOCKSS;
Internet Archive;
National or institutional digital repositories; or
Other internationally recognized preservation services.

The journal will identify the preservation service(s) currently in use on its website as they become available.

Persistent Identifiers

Each article published by JAIIM is assigned a permanent Digital Object Identifier (DOI) through Crossref. Persistent identifiers ensure reliable citation, long-term discoverability, interoperability between scholarly systems, and continued access to published research regardless of changes to website structure.

Metadata Preservation

JAIIM maintains comprehensive article metadata to facilitate indexing, discovery, and long-term accessibility. Metadata may include:

Article title;
Author names and affiliations;
ORCID identifiers (where provided);
Abstract and keywords;
References;
Digital Object Identifier (DOI);
Licensing information;
Publication dates.

Metadata are made available through standard scholarly communication protocols to support indexing services, library systems, search engines, and other research discovery platforms.

Accessibility

As a fully open-access journal, JAIIM provides immediate and unrestricted access to all published articles without subscription fees, registration requirements, or embargo periods. In the event of technical disruption, the journal will make reasonable efforts to restore access to published content using available backups and preservation mechanisms.

Continuous Improvement

JAIIM periodically reviews its digital preservation strategy to ensure continued alignment with developments in scholarly publishing infrastructure and international best practices. The journal remains committed to strengthening its long-term preservation capabilities as it grows and expands its indexing and archiving partnerships.
